Why should I register?{slide=Click for Answer}

Registration is free and easy.  And as soon as you register you can send us stuff - articles, pictures, audio and video, and links to sites that you really like.

More than this, by registering you immediately become part of the This Way Up online community with access to the TWU forum, private messaging, article and content commenting, all available content, news updates, our regular newsletter and many more features to be added in the near future.

What sort of stuff are you looking for? {slide=Click for Answer}

Anything that gives us a lift when we look at or listen to it.  It could be an article, an image, a piece of audio or video, a link to another site - basically, something that you rate and want to share with us and a much wider audience.  We'll know it when we see it.

What we DON'T want is anything violent or pornographic.  Readers who submit this sort of material will be barred from logging on to the site.

Why doesn't the 'Send Us Stuff' button work?{slide=Click for Answer}

The 'Send Us Stuff' button will only work if you have registered and logged on.

I want to submit stuff that doesn't seem to fit into any of your categories.  What should I do?{slide=Click for Answer}

Please submit it anyway to the category that you think is currently the closest fit.  We aim to expand This Way Up  to include more categories that reflect the interests and passions of our readers.  We need to recruit more editors to handle this as we expand, though, so it might take a little time.

I never got a response to my submission, apart from the automatic 'thank you' message. {slide=Click for Answer}

We would love to be able to respond personally to every submission and message but the sheer volume of stuff we receive makes this impractical - sorry. But we hope that this won't stop you submitting other material in the future - we really do appreciate the effort our readers take in submitting stuff.

How can I contact you to discuss an idea I have?{slide=Click for Answer}

Upload a brief explanation of your idea in the 'Send Us Stuff' section, addressed to the relevant category.  We'll respond as soon as possible.

Why is there Buddhist Stuff on the site but no stuff about other religions? {slide=Click for Answer}

Several of us who work on This Way Up are Nichiren Buddhists and members of SGI.  We're very happy to consider religious material that is line with the spirit of the SGI Charter.

TODAY'S QUOTATION
The most difficult thing to make clear to the new teacher is that because the child progresses, she must restrain herself and avoid giving directions, even if at first they are expected; all her faith must repose in his latent powers. | Maria Montessori
