Paul Rogers: First question: August 1990, the Iraqis under Saddam Hussain overran Kuwait very quickly. Within about four or five weeks a very large coalition, which you may recall included eventually an Egyptian and a Syrian division, was being established to evict the Iraqis from Kuwait.
In this article I am going to set out the framework and content of a series of articles on the topic of Science and Buddhism.
The intention is to encourage dialogue between the two communities of people interested in one or both of these topics, by comparing and contrasting the different approaches that each takes towards a description of 'The Reality of Life'.

Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, Hindu or Atheist, we’re all capable of
experiencing peak moments – epiphanies of peace, calm, interconnectedness and
unity, writes Hannah Orchard. What’s surprising is that they often feel
more real than real life.
‘I cleaned up the emergency room,
the nursing room, watched the family close the baby’s mouth with gauze. I saw
some outpatients. I took a seed out of a little girl’s nose. I walked back to
the compound alone. I went to the kitchen for a glass of water. Andrea, the
nurse, came in to see me.
“Is everything ok at the hospital? Is the baby ok?”
“Ummm… no… she’s dead.”
“Are you ok?”
“Yep, I’m good.”
“You know, you don’t have to keep everything right here,” she said, and pointed to her sternum.
“I know,” I said.
