James Kuhn is a Michigan artist - he describes himself as a 'drag queen, former nudist, born again Christian, and average 46-year-old guy' - who uses his own face as his canvas. In March 2008, he began a project to create a new facial design every day for a year. He got the idea after being snowed in for a week.

The Gum-painting Visionary
It is calculated that, at any one time, there are approximately 300,000 squashed blobs of chewing gum stuck to the pavements of London’s shopping hotspot, Oxford Street. The Borough of Westminster has been doing some counting, too. It reckons there are roughly twenty pieces to every square metre of pavement. When one thinks of what the statistics must be for the whole city – well, the mind boggles!

Guido Daniele is a multimedia artist and body painter living and working in Milan. He started working with living canvasses in 1990, painting the naked bodies of models for advertising campaigns. His brilliant, hyper-realistic animal hand-paintings can take anything from two to ten hours to complete.
