Listening
to Paul McKenna's CD Change Your Life in 7 Days. Some of my friends raise
their eyebrows at this. So what if it's
commercial? It works for me.
Charlie - Chiswick
I have not watched TV for
4/5 years apart from the odd movie and think we must all be very careful what we feed to the psyche and mindful of how we spend our time. I swear we have become a society addicted to negativity, drama
and bad news; also ripping people apart in the human zoo of reality TV for our
entertainment. To counteract the negative dramas of normal media I go to this

Climbing, climbing,
climbing - anything from Scafell Pike to the sycamore tree in my dad's back
garden. It's the endorphin rush I get when I reach the top.

If I can
get it together to help someone who's feeling even more depressed than me I
always feel better.

A bottle
of Belgium Duval (Devil) beer and a plate of frites.

Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. This guy managed to find generosity, hope
and even beauty amidst the squalor, suffering and degradation of a

I find 'Thought for the Day' from School of Philosophy really cheers me up and gives me something to think about too. Here's an example:
'We have not come into the world to be numbered; we have been created for a
purpose; for great things: to love and be loved.' Mother Teresa of Calcutta (1910 - 1997), Catholic nun and social worker

Re-reading
Tolkein's The Lord of The Rings. It's been my bible since adolescence. I look
and feel like Gollum most of the time, but reading it never fails to bring out
the Aragorn in me.
Larry - Chelmsford
An Indian head massage.
Keith Wright - Leicester
Going on the wagon for a
week and having plenty of sex.
Alfie - Boston
When I'm feeling blue I
listen to the Blues. It's kind of cathartic. My favourite Bluesmates are John
Lee Hooker, BB King and Stevie Ray Vaughan. If I'm really feeling down I play
along with my harmonica.
